As many of you know I have changed career paths, and followed my life long love for creativity through my passion for photography. I’ve been building my photography business for almost a year now, and have become involved with an amazing organization called Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep.
For those of you who are not aware of what this organization is, it is a non profit organization of photographers who volunteer their talent to families who have already or will be expecting the loss of a baby or babies.
I did a session last week and had been working on photos of Angel “T” for his memorial service. Angel “T” was born at 30 weeks via emergency c-section without any brain activity due to a blood clot. When I arrived at the NICU he was still on life support. He was so perfect…with his beautiful face, such a sweet face and little fingers and toes. His family loves him so much.
I wanted to take this opportunity to ask for your thoughts and prayers for this family. They made the toughest decision to take baby “T” off of life support that day, October 3rd. I had the privilege to meet this little angel and document his last fleeting moments for his mom, dad, grandmother and 4 siblings. He was laid to rest yesterday Thursday, October 9th.
Every time I leave a session I always think of what a blessing and what a miracle it is to have a child. I’m always so anxious to get home and hug and kiss my little boy and Thank God for such a miracle in my life. Take a moment and hug your miracles a little extra, a little bit harder and a little bit longer. I know I will.
Please take a moment and check out the Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep website to see what they are about and to see what you can do to help the cause.

Please also let your friends and family know of this organization, just in case, God forbid, they would need the services of this organization.
If you know of anyone who has lost a child, there is a support forum for them to share their story with other families who have also experienced such a loss.

It is hard to understand the pain and heart ache that a parent experiences when a child is lost, sometimes you need to talk to someone who knows first hand what it is like.
