something different.

So a couple of weeks ago I participated in a photography shoot out, the theme was Rock-a-billy pin ups.  I had a great time meeting some AH-mazing photographers!!!

It was a nice change to not get pee-ed and poo-ed on, although I really don’t mind it, since my lil’ subjects are the most adorable lil’ ones.  It is always a blessing to meet them and create memories for their loving family’s.

Here are some images  from that shoot out!  Enjoy!

I lost some of my BLOG!!! Newborn Photographer, San Diego Maternity Photographer, San Diego Newborn Photographer

Sorry if you dropped by my blog to check out some of my previous posts.  I know you moms who had to go back to work check in once in a while to revisit your little munchkins as newborns.   Or coming by to reminisce on what you looked like when you were prego.  I know… I miss my prego belly, and my little guy moving around and kicking inside of my belly.  I think it is one of the most amazing feelings in the world.  {Sigh}

Then they enter our world and turn it upside down, for the better of course!!!

Okay, so I’m a big dummy I went and lost some of my old posts ( including  posted photos and comments) while UPDATING my BLOG.

I was supposed to back it up BEFORE updating it, but of course I am too darn impatient and of course had to learn the hard way.

Now I can’t get what I lost back, so I will have to redo the posts that were lost.  SORRY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE!!!

Funny thing is, the update is more work, now I have to (well want to) redesign my blog because there are so many other options with the update.  SORRY IF IT LOOKS A LITTLE CRAZY FOR NOW, IT IS AGAIN UNDER CONSTRUCTION. Check back often to see how it’s changed.

I will repost the blog posts that were “lost” as soon as possible.

Have a BEAUTIFUL DAY!!!

Our day trip up to Lake Cuyamaca.

I love San Diego!!!

Ah, the beauty of San Diego. I love it here in the city but sometimes you need to get away. Today, my friend Edith and my son drove up to Lake Cuyamaca . It was about a 35 minute drive inland. We took the 8 East, then the 79 North and then followed the signs. We are so lucky. Living in San Diego, we have almost perfect weather all year long, and if you want to get away you can drive out to the desert, the mountains, the river, the ocean, or another country. There is always something to do or somewhere to go and explore.

Our trip up to Lake Cuyamaca was a first for my son and my friend. I had been there once as a teenager camping with a friend’s family and had the worst time ever. I nearly froze to death while camping in a tent. I put on every single item of clothing I had brought with me including five pairs of socks and my shoes. I had my entire body from head to toe inside my sleeping bag. It was horrible! Needless to say, I never went camping again.

Now as an adult and a parent, I think our little day trip has changed my mind about the “great outdoors” it was just magnificent up there! But I still don’t think I will be camping in a tent any time soon. Maybe in an RV, where there is heat. ;-)

Check out the beautiful scenery, even though I didn’t get a picture of the lake. I know, it kind of defeats the purpose of going up to the lake in the first place. You’ll just have to drive up there and check out how gorgeous it is for yourselves.

My intention was to drive up and do a photo shoot with my son. Edith was to be my assistant. We drove up with a car full of props and clothes, but we ended up using one chair and didn’t even change his outfit. My son was not the in the mood to be my model today…he got a little fussy. It’s okay though, I prefer these tearful photos over some of the happy ones. As his mother, these are the ones that melt my heart. Click on the 1st photo and you will see the big crocodile tear running down his face. Sigh, these are the moments I treasure. The moments where he is just being himself. He’s not usually so crabby, but his nap schedule got all messed up today and then it was time to eat shortly after we got started. He was fine after he ate, but the sun was starting to set.

Even though things didn’t go as planned. I’m still glad I was able to share this beautiful place on a beautiful Saturday afternoon with one of my closest friends and my little munchkin.
